Answers

  1. POH (Pilot Operating Handbook) — binding; values vary per aircraft type.
  2. 79 KIAS (C172).
  3. Odd thousand ft + 5005500, 7500, 9500 ft etc.

  6. 15 kt (max demonstrated crosswind C172).
  7. Mixture IDLE CUT-OFF immediately (cuts fuel).
  8. Fresh fuel reignites the fire — restart attempt is dangerous.
  9. Master switch OFF first — all circuits cut.
  10. 4-6 hours with normal breathing; 1 h with 100% O₂; 20 min hyperbaric.
  11. Fly straight ahead, max 30° turn for obstacles, NO turn back to field.

  14. At least 50 NM lateral distance.
  15. RVR < 600 m typically (or before CAT II/III approach).
  16. Immediate go-around with throttle FULL, pitch to Vy or stick-shaker, configuration unchanged.
  17. 1500 m ground visibility (800 m for helicopter).
  18. 5 hours of night flight training (3 h dual + 1 h cross-country + 5 solo take-offs/landings).
  19. MTOM ≥ 136,000 kg (300,000 lb).
