Answers
- PPL has broader privileges (e.g. class/type ratings, all classes with the required ratings); LAPL is restricted to smaller aircraft (typically ≤ 2 000 kg, max. 3 passengers) and not IFR. See §5.1 and FCL.105.A / FCL.205.A.
- Airworthiness Certificate, Registration Certificate, Radio Licence (if radio installed), Operating Manual / AFM, Weight schedule — plus journey log, CRS, noise certificate, insurance certificate (Reg. 785/2004), NOTAM/AIS briefing, charts, interception signals. (§3.1)
- (a) 1 000 ft (300 m) above the highest obstacle within 600 m radius; (b) 500 ft (150 m) above ground/water OR 500 ft above the highest obstacle within 150 m radius — whichever is higher. (§6.7)
- Both alter heading to the right (SERA.3210). (§6.4)
- 5 km flight visibility (reducible to 1 500 m at ≤ 140 KIAS or 800 m for helicopters), clear of cloud AND surface in sight. (§6.9)
- Alert Phase — apprehension about the safety of an aircraft; typically following loss of communication or when an aircraft cleared to land has not landed within 5 min of ETA. (§10.1)
- 7600. (§14)
- At least 3 take-offs, approaches and landings in the previous 90 days on the same class/type (or FFS); for night passenger flights at least one of those landings must have been at night (unless holding a valid IR). (§5.3)
